I think that an uncluttered look would be best.
Kitsap Regional Library Bookmobile
across the side with the logo - maybe something about "serving the citizens of Kitsap County".

i'm serious about having a picture of buttercup somewhere just as a tribute.
What about
"Kitsap Regional Library
Paid for by the Friends of the Library"
across the side.
I was just wanting to get around perceptions that the library has hidden stashes of gold.
It is difficult to remain uncluttered while communicating
Who we are needs to be there.
What we have, where, when, why, and how may all need to be elsewhere.
I do sort of like the
"Serving the citizens of Kitsap County" - but not as a must have. Maybe "Kitsap Regional Library" says that. I'm thinking aloud here.
I've heard people comment for years on the smiley face on the back; could we use a picture of the bookmobile with that on the back, thereby honoring both! I also feel we should be giving the glory to Foundations, civic groups etc. I also thought we wanted to be sure the Public knows it was bought mainly with private funds. Could it be an add on thing with the wrap that could be stripped off later? BonnieBooks
I like the idea of a magnetic add that can be on the new bookmobile thanking the donors and making it clear how it was purchased. One that can be pulled off later once he word is out. Maybe then replaced with a plaque inside listing the contributors, right next to the framed picture of Buttercup.
I tend to like the simple straight forward professional look. Our cards are silver and dark blue. The blue stripe with the silver lettering is attractive. Website and phone number are good. The logo is a must although more than one person has pointed out that the image on the logo looks like a toilet seat. What the heck is that supposed to represent?
Seattle Metro buses have removable/replaceable reader boards on the sides. With one of those we could start with the thank you to donors - to be replaced with the current emphasis as we did with badge hangers. I don't know if those are magnetic or ...?
I like the idea of things popping up on a road better than of a mountain exploding. It seems more appropriate and less tragic - for a bookmobile.
